A movement and games group led by an Occupational Therapist for people on the spectrum ages 10 to 14! This group costs 30$/session.

About this Event

DELAYED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC

A movement and games group led by an Occupational Therapist. The goal is to provide a variety of fun opportunities for participants to improve their autonomy skills through playful and engaging OT sensorimotor activities. School, Home & Work skills are dependent on basic executive functioning skills. The participants will learn basic executive functioning skills to follow instructions, complete tasks independently, transition smoothly between activities, organize, plan and problem solve. The activities will also support gross motor and fine motor skills through leisure activities. Targeting improvements in bilateral coordination, balance and dexterity essential for autonomy.

Siblings are welcomed.

Maximum 4 participants.

Time: Every Sunday 11a.m. - 1 p.m. Bring your lunch!

Location: Autism House @ 4710 rue Saint-Ambroise, H4C 2C7

Age group: 10 to 14 years

Cost: 30$ per session. Health insurance receipt provided.

COVID GUIDELINES

All in-person sessions will be held at Autism House (4710 rue Saint-Ambroise, H4C 2C7), located in the vibrant neighborhood of Saint-Henri, on the Lachine Canal near the Atwater market. All sessions will follow the public health guidelines for social distancing, wearing a mask and hygiene. For everyone’s safety we will be keeping ratios 1 facilitator: 4 participants.
