Event description

Description

Dan Petti:

Dan Petti has been writing songs his whole life. In 2016-2017, he started committing more seriously to the craft. He enjoys co-writing with other writers and artists in the Ottawa area, and he has made two trips to Nashville in the past year to further develop his craft and connect with songwriters and publishers in the United States. He focuses on commercial Country songwriting, and he also enjoys experimenting with Folk and Americana styles as well. He has a mix of upbeat happy songs, deep meaningful ballads, and anything in between. He sometimes performs live with his country band, but he especially loves playing out his songs solo, allowing the audience to experience the songs and lyrics at a raw, stripped down, and emotional level. His goals include continuing to meet more artists and writers in Ottawa, continuing to visit Nashville to make connections in Music City, and to hopefully one day cut a song for a recording artist.

Erica Brighthill:

Erica Brighthill is a singer/songwriter from Ottawa. Her style ranges between country and pop. She quickly discovered a passion for music by being constantly surrounded by artists at a young age. Erica took singing lessons for many years at Sing House Studios and followed an artist development program called Musicpreneur. She now occupies a working position as a vocal coach at Sing House Studios. Erica has also won the public's choice at the Idole St-Jean competition in 2014 and won first place at the Someday Live Singing competition in 2017 which gave her a slot in to perform at Bluesfest that same year. In 2018, Erica joined The Syndicut, an artist development program founded by Debbie Zavitson and Tara Shannon. Zavitson is a Nashville executive and manager who has worked with Sony, Giant Records and who has managed Blake Shelton for the first years of his career. Tara Shannon is an award winning Indie Artist and entrepreneur with the experience of managing many businesses and artists. To this day, Erica continues to write songs and perform in multiple events whether it’s in schools, festivals, commercial, corporate or community events. She was born to be a performer with her unique voice, her contagious smile, her stage presence and her passion for life and music.
