Join us in a FREE 3-day series Python Workshop to learn the basics and experiment with your code!

What is Python and why is it important to learn?

Python is a popular programming language that is relevant to various industries such as finance/fintech, consulting, insurance and it is especially used in the emerging field of data science.

Workshop Objective: Use Python to develop applications for games, experiments and data collection. As well as Algorithms/Machine-Learning from an economic perspective.

This workshop will be taught by our very own SFU Economics PhD Candidate, Farouk Abdul-Salam.

About Farouk Abdul-Salam

Farouk is a PhD candidate in economics at Simon Fraser University. His research focuses on Time Series, Financial Economics, Applied Econometrics, Experimental Economics, Learning & Adaptation and Computational Design.

His programming skills include Python, Matlab, oTree, R, Stata and Latex
