Feel more confident in expanding your professional network, talking with potential recruiters and build confidence in taking on interviews.

About this Event

Are you looking for that internship opportunity and don't know where to start?

Most women apply to jobs once they feel they’ve met 100% of the qualifications. Let's change that!

The purpose of this event is to help women in STEM feel more confident in expanding their professional network, talking with potential recruiters and build their confidence.

Join us on October 22nd to learn about simple and effective techniques to help you land that dream internship opportunity now! We invited the team at RecruitHer to help answer your questions about networking, job opportunities, resume feedback, job interviews and confidence.

RecruitHer is a platform for women to discover their unrealized potential in typically homogenous work environments. Every day, we’re bridging the gender gap and fostering inclusivity by matching qualified female graduates and those early in their careers with internships to aid in their development, both professionally and personally. Established in 2018, we work with employers who are passionate about fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces for women in underrepresented fields in order to achieve a brighter tomorrow.

About WISE: Women in Science and Engineering is a York University club that aims to address the obstacles that women in science and engineering face in both an educational environment and in their fields of work. As a club, we run multiple series of events aiming towards a wide range of age groups, some of the events that we run include Explore Science, Ellehacks (the largest all-female hackathon in Canada), Go Eng Girl, Go Code Girl and many more yet to be disclosed.

Our club is inclusive, and we welcome both male and female contribution to the issues that face females in their career such as unequal pay. We look forward to meeting you this upcoming year and making history together.

About hEr VOLUTION: hEr VOLUTION is here to inspire and revolutionize the STEM industry and change the world, by encouraging girls and young women to pursue STEM-based careers and promotes stakeholder’s involvement in the support of STEM education in Canada.
