Event description

Description

Hey Ethereum Devs,

We have a packed agenda this month, full of great speakers and a coding project. For more information about the meetup series, please visit our meetup page: https://www.meetup.com/Ethereum-Developers/

1. Presentations:

- TrueBit (A scalable verification solution for blockchains). Robbie Bent.

- Crypto Chicks (A blockchain education and technology adoption program for women). Natalya Ameline.

- 0x Project (an open and permissionless protocol for trading ERC20 tokens)

- Lendroid (Decentralized margin trading). Vignesh Sundaresan.

- BlockGeeks (Online Blockchain Courses)

- BEN (Blockchain Education Network)

- Oaken Innovations (Blockchain IoT). John Gerryts

- And more to come

2. Updates and News: More updates and News. Why? Because there will have been about 111,600 blocks since our last meetup. A lot can happen in that time.

3. Coding: "How to build a block explorer" (Session 1). One of the main aims of this meetup is to help everyone learn how to build applications on Ethereum, regardless of one's current skill level as a developer. Everyone, from beginner to expert, is welcome at our events. For our next project I thought it would be good for us to learn how to create a simple blockchain explorer so that we learn how to build an app that can view actions and operations on the blockchain (block content, current transactions, etc). At this session we'll set the basic framework for this project and get started on it.

Where: Room 1160, Bahen Centre. University of Toronto.

When: 7pm

Cheers,

Ethan
