Invites you to join us for the following education event:

Allen Alvarez, PhD will be leading a discussion on moral distress for social workers, and reviewing the results of the Moral Distress survey that participants completed prior to the event. Allen will also be guiding participants through a case study and will lead an informative discussion on how we work with and honour clients who wish to live at risk"

Participant preparation for the session will involve completing the Measure of Moral Distress for Health Care Professionals survey and watching a 5-minute video introducing social work moral distress. You will receive an email with links to the above after you complete registration.

By the end of the session, participants would

1. Increase understanding of moral distress in honouring clients wishes to live at risk and how to address it

2. Practice reflective debriefing to enhance communication skills in addressing moral distress

FEE:

$10 to BCASW members (need to input BCASW registration number)$20 for non-members.
