Organized by: Lorna Gunning Fratschko, HBSc, MTS, MA

Lorna’s love of faith, history, and science has provided the impetus for her most recent academic achievement, which combines all of these areas of expertise. She explored the interaction of each of these elements in her dissertation, “The Euthanasia Debate: European Experience and Canadian Policy Proposals.” This thesis has been read hundreds of times worldwide since its publication in June of 2016 and is found at http://ir.lib.uwo.ca/etd/3550. She continues to develop her expertise in this very important area of social policy drawing on influences found in science, medicine, society, history, politics, and anthropology. Lorna is developing this series of seminars to assist clergy as they deal with the reality of euthanasia as it affects their work and the lives of their parishioners.
