Event description

Description

Learning4Impact is a new training initiative offered by HiC designed for those who deliver, evaluate or talk about the intended results of programs (we’re talking to you - program staff, coordinators, managers, oh my!).

Workshops are created to build planning and evaluation capacity while being easily digestible; we offer small class sizes in two hour timeslots.

Join us for our Evaluation Design Workshop Series; Develop a Program Logic Model and Develop a Program Evaluation Framework.

You can register for just one workshop ($50) or get a discount and register for both ($80)!

[SOLD OUT] Develop a Program Logic Model - February 19 | 11:30-1pm

Logic models are key elements of program evaluation and planning. Much like its cousins (think result chains, theories of change), a logic model is a visual story of your program’s desired achievement. Join to learn why logic models are useful tools for program planning and evaluation, and walk through the steps to create your own program logic model.

Who should attend?
People who plan, deliver, evaluate or talk about the intended results of a program (e.g., Program staff, coordinators, managers).

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the core elements of a logic model

  • Learn about the relationship between logic models and other organizational plans and frameworks (e.g., evaluation plans, organizational strategic plans)

  • Develop a draft logic model

Develop a Program Evaluation Framework - March 11 | 11:30-1pm

A Program Evaluation Framework identifies what your program intends to measure – what is important and feasible to monitor and report. Closely linked to your program theory (e.g., logic model, results chains, goals and objectives), an evaluation framework focuses your time and energy when assessing program performance.

Who should attend?
People who deliver, evaluate or talk about the intended results of a program (e.g., Program staff, coordinators, managers).**

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the core elements of a Program Evaluation Framework

  • Learn how Program Evaluation Frameworks connect to other planning models (e.g., logic models, organizational strategic plans)

  • Develop a draft Program Evaluation Framework

**NOTE: Attendees must have an existing program logic model, or have attended HiC’s Develop a Program Logic Model training.
