All are welcome to join Valhalla Wilderness Society on a journey into British Columbia's ancient Inland Temperate Rainforest!
Home to the deep-snow mountain caribou, grizzly bears, rare fungi and lichens, BC's Inland Rainforest is a globally unique ecosystem worth celebrating. We are excited to share our findings from many groundbreaking scientific and exploratory expeditions into this incredible BC wilderness over 20 years of research, including photography of rare rainforest species and primeval cedar trees. A briefing on the recent Incomappleux protection will be shared with a screening of Primeval: Enter the Incomappleux, a stunning film by VWS and Damien Gillis, which we have toured the province with to gain support for protection of the Selkirk Mountain Caribou Park proposal.
The presentation and short film screening will explore the wonders of this globally significant rainforest found 500 kilometers from the coast in BC's Interior Wetbelt.
The event will follow the old growth Super-Rally happening the same day, hosted by Elders for Ancient Trees.
