A 60 minute outdoor yoga class every Wednesday and select Monday evenings until September 15

About this event

About this class: Time to unwind. Join Karen for a gentle, in-person yoga class at Ourland Park. This class is suitable for all levels and is the perfect excuse to get outside! Class will begin with meditation and breathwork followed by gentle, mainly floor-based movement to help you unwind.

Each class will be limited to a maximum of 19 students as per provincial regulations. Once each class has reached its capacity, registration will be restricted, however you can email Karen at karen@birdbirddog.com to be placed on the waiting list in the event there are cancellations. A few days before the class, you will receive an email with details on the class location, and what to bring. There is plenty of street parking available and the grounds are wheelchair accessible.

In the event of heavy rain or crummy weather, class will be cancelled at least 3 hours before start time and you will have the to option to be refunded or use your credit towards a future class.

Investment: This class is pay what you can. The minimum amount to register is $1, so choose an amount that works with your financial situation. If you're unsure what to pay, it may be helpful to note that that drop-in, in-person classes can range anywhere from $15-$25+ however there is no shame in selecting an amount lower than this.

About Karen: Karen is a certified yoga teacher/guide trained in hatha and restorative styles of yoga with over 270 teaching hours (virtually and in-person). She enjoys guiding students through simple floor-based, gentle sequences that incorporate breathwork to provide a meditative inward experience. Karen has taught and continues to teach those with different needs, abilities, and body sizes by providing pose variations and always welcomes feedback. Expect a light-hearted and inclusive class environment.
