Ever Changing-Artist Careers Over Time - Virtual Panel Talk
Event Information
About this event
Ever Changing-Artist Careers Over Time is an Artists Panel featuring four artists from the exhibition In Good Company: Sharon Rose Kootenay, Jason Symington, aAron Munson and Gillian Willans. Moderated by Chris W. Carson, this panel takes place virtually on Thursday, January 20 at 7pm MST.
All four of these artists have stories to tell that expand our notions of what is "art" and who is, and can be, an "artist". The panel opens with each artist presenting a PechaKucha (20 images x 20 seconds) that answer Paul Gauguin's philosophical questions: Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going? The panel continues with conversation between the panelists and the audience that help us understand more about how artists think.
Chris W. Carson is Executive Director of CARFAC Alberta and a visual artist who has worked and changed over a career spanning four decades. Make sure to join the Art Gallery of St. Albert for this panel and get to know four incredible greater Edmonton artists.
Special thanks to the Edmonton Community Foundation for their generous support in making this panel possible.
Dates: Thursday, January 20
Time: 7:00 - 8:00 pm
