Evolving Infill Public Engagement: City Hall
Date and time
Description
What is Evolving Infill?
Evolving Infill is an opportunity to work with Edmontonians to identify the next best steps to “growing in”.
Edmonton is evolving. Our people, streets, and businesses are changing before our eyes. We’re becoming more aware of the way our city is built and more excited about the kind of city we want to become. It’s an energy every Edmontonian can feel. Part of this evolution is infill. It’s not new, but it’s a growing trend in our city.
You are invited to one workshop in a series of conversations across the city about how we, as Edmontonians, can welcome more people and new homes into our core, mature and established neighbourhoods. In particular, we are looking for your expertise and experience to figure out how we can create the conditions that support medium and high density infill.
Who is Invited?
This invitation is for the City Hall location, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Dinner will be provided. This is not a drop-in event.
This event is child friendly and supervised activities will be provided. The Evolving Infill team would like to involve your children in public engagement and ask them some questions about infill as well. Whatever we build now is their future city, and they have a stake in it too!
Join us for one of five workshops to talk about what the next best steps to welcome more people and new homes into Edmonton.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to discuss what is going well with infill, and what could be improved, and the conditions that need to be in place to make it flourish. We expect a series of “baby ideas” will emerge, tangible ideas that will help shift our practices and culture in Edmonton over the next few years.
The results of our meeting with you, along with the results of our meetings with other groups, will be one of the key inputs into the first draft of a strategic document that will outline the next best steps that the City can take help welcome more people and new homes into our core, mature and established neighbourhoods.
More details about the project, including timelines, deliverables, and engagement opportunities is available on our web page. We are keen to work with you and look forward to spending the time with you to move this important work forward.
