These three entrepreneurs are flying all the way from Cancun Mexico to share their inspiring entrepreneurial journeys. This panel is a great example of how entrepreneurs who have made it financially in tech or other sectors, now have the freedom to create significant social impact by drawing upon their values in sustainability and their desire to improve the human situation. Learn what great projects they are involved in and what they did after the earthquake in Mexico.

About Our Panelists

Christian Sandoval, Founder Grupo Zmart

Grupo Zmart founder, Christian Sandoval began programming at the very young age of 15. In 2010, at age 22, he decided to start a business that would change the way small telecom businesses sell air time recharges for cell phones. Grupo Zmart went from generating 10 million pesos ($700K CAN) in its first year, to more than 1,700 million pesos ($117 Million CAN) in 2016.

Christian was named by Forbes one of the 30 under 30 most promising entrepreneurs. This money might not be circulating in the Mexican national economy was it not for the will and vision of this entrepreneur.

Nataniel Orea, Co-founder and CEO Nest Coworking

Nataniel is the co-founder of Nest Coworking spaces with 10 locations across Mexico with other locations soon to open in Indonesia.  At the Nest, companies not only share office space and meeting rooms, but also share ideas, experiences and new perspectives. The Nest community in Playa del Carmen is just three blocks away from the beach.

Nat cares about the planet and giving back, doesn’t mean you cannot be successful in life.

Social entrepreneur, planet lover and business developer, he believes that business, nature and society should live a symbiotic relation.

Pancho Mendiola

Entrepreneur and culture hacker, Pancho has implemented growth, social and environmental hacking in his own companies and helped other startups and enterprises realize the importance of the Triple Bottom Line in the future of our economy, society and the planet´s health.  Not all companies are focused solely on profits. Companies whose missions are strongly tied social, environmental (or ecological) and financial success are said to be driven by the triple bottom line.

November 13 to 16, 2017!!

Dawson College’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education will host Entrepreneurship Week (EWeek) coinciding with Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 13 to 16, 2017

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is an international movement to inspire millions of young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity through entrepreneurship. It is estimated over 15 million youngsters participated worldwide in tens of thousands of events and competition for Global Entrepreneurship Week. In Montreal, Dawson College's EWeek will provide a diverse and strong line-up of speakers, networking events, contests and activities for Montrealers and Dawson College students alike.

Many young students will have their first glimpse of a possible alternative career path and connect with seasoned entrepreneurs. All Montrealers are invited and all events are free. Hear inspiring stories of successful entertainers, photographers, illustrators, designers, dancers, programmers and farmers who launched their own businesses.
