Check in at the Welcome Centre, Building 300

Why should I attend?

This free event will provide you with an opportunity to experience campus life and learn more about the 120+ programs that are offered at Vancouver Island University (along with the many services and supports available to students). You’ll be able to explore campus, take a guided tour, take in a sample class, and find out how post-secondary education can help put you get started on a great career path.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in post-secondary studies should attend—from high school students and their parents, to those who’ve been out of school awhile and are ready to explore their options. This event is truly for everyone!

What will I experience?

You can see what student life is like on our 92-acre Nanaimo campus, sample a university class led by a VIU professor, and meet with a VIU Recruitment Officer to get your questions answered. It’s all very casual, and it will be FUN! Did we mention there will be free lunch from 12 noon to 1 pm?!

Is it free?

Yes, it is! We kindly ask that our guests register so we can ensure that we have enough resources and lunch for everyone; however, registration is not mandatory.
