Explore expressive mark-making and illustration with ink in our brand new workshop! Guided by ink’s natural behaviours, the talented Jarret Hartnell will show you techniques to control and influence ink using a variety of different tools, creating lots of happy accidents and beautiful surprises. You’ll experiment with different textures and effects to build your one-of-a-kind illustration depicting plants, animals, and expressive abstract shapes. Manipulate ink in remarkable ways.

+ Splatters and droplets

Each participant will go home with a kit to continue practicing, included is:

+ Sumi Brush

Here’s how we’re adapting to follow Covid-19 guidelines:

1. All staff and workshop attendees are required to wear masks at all times during the class in accordance with municipal bylaw.

2. We will be selling only 8 spaces for the workshop. This helps us to maintain physical distancing between you and our other participants. Each party will also be separated by a plexiglass barrier where social distance cannot be maintained.

3. Each person will be provided with their own set of tools to use during the workshop. All surfaces will be sanitized before and after each class.

4. We continue to practice our enhanced cleaning and sanitizing throughout the store to make your experience as safe as possible.

5. No food or drinks will be provided. You are welcome to bring in a water bottle, but please avoid bringing in any food items.
