This event is an opportunity for guidance counsellors, employment counsellors and others who support people making the transition to post-secondary education, to learn more about the college and the services it offers students.

8 to 8:40 a.m.: Registration and light refreshments

8:40 to 9 a.m.: Welcome and Review of Agenda. Jamie Bramburger, Manager of Community and Student Affairs

9 to 10 a.m.: Mental Health and Student Success. Facilitated Presentation by Nicole Lewis, Counsellor, Pembroke Campus

10 to 10:15 a.m.: Refreshment Break

10:15 to 11 a.m.: Understanding Accommodations for Students with Disabilities. Facilitated Presentation by Jeff Iles, Centre for Accessible Learning, Pembroke Campus

11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: A Call to Action. Implementing the recommendations of the Premier’s Highly Skilled Workforce Panel. Presentation by the Committee Chair, Sean Conway

12 to 1 p.m.: Lunch in the Pembroke Commons

1 to 1:45 p.m.: Strategic Enrolment Management at the Pembroke Campus-How Data Supports Student Recruitment and Retention. Presentation by Shelly Waplington, Student Success Specialist, Pembroke Campus

1:45 to 2:30 p.m.: The new OSAP. Understanding the Changes to Financial Aid. Presentation by Christine Summers, Financial Aid, Pembroke Campus

2:30 to 3:15 p.m.: Burning Questions Session: Open Q and A on Topics such as Admissions, Pre-Admission Testing, Housing for Students, etc. Session facilitated by Jamie Bramburger, Manager of Community and Student Affairs

3:15 to 4 p.m.: Evaluation of event and Optional Waterfront Campus Tour

What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?

Attendees are required to pay for parking. Parking passes can be purchased from the two automated machines located outside in our main parking area.
