Virtual Panel on the Role of AI in Health Sciences Education

About this event

We are inviting all of you to participate in a virtual panel led by Dr. Jason M. Harley (Principal Investigator, Department of Surgery) and Dr. Elif Bilgic (Postdoctoral Fellow), in collaboration with Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), McGill University, and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), bringing together an interdisciplinary team of scholars across Canadian institutions and educational technology companies who are actively involved in the fields of AI and health sciences education will participate in a virtual panel.

The virtual panel is organized around three themes: (1) current advancements, (2) roles of educational organizations and industry, and (3) technical/ethical considerations for the advancement and implementation of AI in health sciences education. This panel will explore the perspectives of expert individuals and students in terms of the current and future roles of AI in health sciences education, in addition to exploring their experiences in developing, using, and partnering with various organizations to ethically implement AI-enhanced technology within health sciences education.

Participants from: McGill University, Queen's University, University of Alberta, University of Toronto, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, CAE, and MEDTEQ.
