Workshop Description: Pain, in its immediacy, lacks narrative: it’s a raw moment in time. In other words, pain calls for poetry. In this workshop we will explore, through writing poems, how to express the experience of physical and mental pain. We will share our writing—and have the rare experience of being truly listened to, in our radically subject experience of pain, with attentiveness and compassion.
Please be aware that spaces are limited to 12 participants. If you sign up, you should intend to attend. A wait list of another 12 possible participants will be taken to ensure the workshop reaches capacity.
