FACILITATORS TRAINING IN THE LEGO®SERIOUS PLAY® METHODOLOGY by the Association of Master Trainers

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method is a facilitated process, and the results and impact are directly tied to the quality of the workshop design and the facilitation. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® delivers exceptional value, when the process is designed and delivered by a well trained and skilled facilitator.
The members of the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method provide facilitator training and certification in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.
The Association has two main purposes:
1. To guard, maintain and further develop the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method to ensure its integrity and high quality.
2. To secure that its members deliver an uniform and high quality training of new LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitators regardless of language or geographical location.
This is the essential facilitator training and what you need to get going. It is a 4 day program, which teaches the participants the core process, the application techniques, and the supporting theories. Participants are also given an opportunity to design customized workshop using the method. Upon completion of this program, the facilitator can design and facilitate workshops with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.
OBJECTIVE 1- To experience and learn the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology and the standard applications Real Time Strategy for the Team and Real Time Strategy for the Enterprise This training will offer you advanced insight into: a) The 4 step Core Process and the 7 Application Techniques b) The relationship between the methodology and its standard applications c) The experience of LSP as an end user d) Client experiences with LSP e) The development history of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology.
OBJECTIVE 2- To experience and learn the theories underpinning the methodology and the standard applications Real Time Strategy for the Team and Real Time Strategy for the Enterprise This training will offer you: a) An understanding of the key learning concepts and opportunities to use the method to demonstrate them b) Insights into how the theories impact the flow of the workshop.
OBJECTIVE 3- To embed the knowledge needed to effectively develop and facilitate workshops using the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology This training enables you to: a) Heed the different styles of facilitating that should be adopted at different stages of the process b) Become aware of critical parts of the methodology and applications (including what is flexible and what is not) c) Appreciate the practicalities of the program workshop, especially the time required and the organization of the materials during the workshop d) Recognize the artificial nature of the training ‘group’ compared to a group attending a real engagement e) Become a proficient LEGO builder.
OBJECTIVE 4-To practice designing customized applications of the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology This training will provide a forum for you to: a) Design a segment of a workshop with fellow trainees and receive peer feedback b) Discuss how best to demonstrate the power of the methodology in a selling situation c) Become familiar with the Facilitator Manual d) Understand the practicalities associated with procuring and managing the LEGO material.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
1) From Pearson International Airport take Highway 409 Eastwards towards Highway 401. 2) Get onto Highway 401 Eastbound and continue Eastwards into Toronto. 3) If you are in the Express Lanes, switch over into the Collectors Lanes and exit Highway 401 at the Yorkdale exit. 4) Upon getting off the 401 at the Yorkdale offramp, choose to head south on Dufferin Street. 5) Immediately upon turning onto Dufferin Street (Southbound), look to the right – you should see the Holiday Inn Yorkdale. The entrance to the Holiday Inn parking lot is located in the parking lot of Midtown Honda. Therefore, once turning onto Dufferin from the 401, make the first right hand turn into the parking lot of Midtown Honda and then make another right to get to the entrance of the Holiday Inn.
What is included with the fee?
All of your training materials and meals for the 4 days duration of the session.
What is not included in the fee?
Hotel Accomodations. You are responsible for your own hotel or accomodatios. And parking is also not included but the Hotel will offer a discouted daily rate.
