Bach Tots Performance Program for Children 4-6 yrs - Registration Information
The Bach Tots performance program returns this Fall offering recreational dance classes for kids 4-6 years old, with the opportunity to perform alongside our professional artists in The Nutcracker (in a Nutshell). The performance program brings the fantastic work we have been doing in elementary and pre-schools that combines a 45 minute dance-theatre workshop with performance. The program is unique because it:
-offers a short session of classes for 4-6 year olds accomodating various levels of experience;
-is recreational, yet offers children the opportunity to do a short performance alongside professional artists at the end of the session;
-integrates dance training from a variety of styles, combined with theatre and performance skills.

Here is how the program works:
-Children will participate in 5 weekly dance/creative movement classes (dates above). The classes are 45 minutes long and are led by one of our professional artists on the Bach Tots roster.
-The classes will be located at Evergreen Community Spaces in Calgary, Mayland Heights.
-Children will learn ballet and theatre skills. They will learn a short performance piece to be featured in this year's run of The Nutcracker (in a Nutshell). Their time onstage will be fully artist supported, so it is no worry if someone forgets their part or gets a last minute case of stage fright. The children will play Bon Bons featured in the Candyland act alongside Mama Gigone (Mother Ginger). They will sit in the front row of the audience until it is their turn to go up onto the stage. They also get to watch the show. This will also take place at Evergreen Community Spaces - Grand Oak Showroom.
-Caregivers will be given two complimentary tickets to their assigned shows to accompany their children. Any additional children with the caregivers must be paid for according to the ticketing guidelines (18 months and under are free).
-Children will be required to provide ballet shoes, pink ballet tights and a pink ballet bodysuit for classes, which will also be used as the base for the costume. Boys provide black shorts, white t-shirts, black ballet shoes. NO ADDITIONAL COSTUME FEES NEEDED. We will provdie the children with a costume on the day of the performance. Parents may opt to buy a costume to keep for their children for $65-$75, but this is completely optional.
PROGRAM TIMES WILL ONLY RUN IF MINIMUM NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS MET.
If the program does not move forward at that time, registrants will be refunded 100% of the fee via Eventbrite. You will be notified by Oct. 30.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available on site.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. You can transfer your registration to another child, but please let us know so we can obtain the correct details.
What is the refund policy?
If you cancel your registration on or before Oct. 23, a refund will be issued, less a $25.00 administration fee.
There will be no refunds after Oct.23, as the program is contingent on having enough registrants to move forward.
Please also note that while rare, Evergreen Community Spaces reserves the right to cancel a performance date short notice. No refunds will be given if your child's performance date is cancelled, but we will make every effort to find an alternate performance date for you.
