Description

After a long, hot and smoky Summer, and hopefully heading into a long, hot and clear Fall, it’s the perfect time to cleanse. In autumn our bodies are naturally preparing for a change, a switch to warmer foods, and a new season. Clearing our bodies of residual toxins can help our immune function, mental health and positively affect our overall health and well-being.

Excess toxins can cause physical and mental health issues like chronic fatigue, headaches, insomnia and other common dis-ease within our body. Toxic overload can drain our energy, speed up aging and make it difficult to lose weight. Many toxins are in things we use and consume everyday like our food, water, beauty and personal care products and our environment.

Cleansing doesn’t have to be, and in-fact shouldn’t be, difficult, painful, or draining. You shouldn’t be desperately running to the washroom or having to take time off work. We are reducing our toxic load and flooding our bodies with nutrients - when mindfully designed this can feel GREAT.

Cleanse Program (included in the cost of the class):

  • Full 8 day supply of gentle herbal tea for the duration of the program.
  • 8 day meal plan focusing on nourishing, tonifying and cleansing foods.
  • Recipes for the entire 8 days including many delicious soups, elixirs, warm salads and more.
  • Complete grocery shopping list to make prepping easy.
  • Recommended optional supplement list – something you can take to your local health food store to avoid confusion and increase ease.
  • Ongoing support through Facebook or email.

In the class we’ll discuss:

  • The 8 Day Cleanse Program; tips, tricks and hacks for greatest success, understanding the program, the meals and the nutritional benefits and motivations of the plan.
  • Benefits of adding certain foods and herbs to your diet for gentle and effective every-day detox.
  • Fasting and intermittent fasting.
  • Common everyday toxins - where we get them and why we need to get rid of them.
  • Detoxifying symptoms; why they happen and how to reduce them.
  • Optional supplements that can be supportive during this cleanse and improve digestion and vitality long after; probiotics, digestive enzymes, protein powders.
  • Trending cleanse foods and supplements; activated charcoal, apple cider vinegar, chlorella and Spirulina - do they really “work”?
  • Fermented foods, why we want them and where to get them.

Please note: this will be a gluten-free, vegetarian meal plan. If you are vegan or have anaphylaxis allergies please let me know and I will make adjustments to support your needs.

There will not be food served at this event, please eat before arriving (all the photos and chat about food will likely make you hungry).
