Please join the Archives of Ontario for the opening of our new exhibition, "Family Focus: Early Portrait Photography at the Archives of Ontario" on Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m.

 

The Honourable Tracy MacCharles, Minister of Government and Consumer Services and Minister Responsible for Accessibility, will be on hand to open the exhibit for the public.

 

Remarks will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the St. Lawrence Lounge, followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to visit the exhibition in the John B. Aird Gallery.

 

The exhibit features 15 original and 45 reproduction photos from the late 19th century that depict a diverse array of portraits of Ontario families in various social settings.

 

"Family Focus" is a free photography exhibit on display at the John B. Aird Gallery, 900 Bay St., Toronto, from June 27 to July 21, 2017, and is part of the Archives of Ontario’s Ontario150 programming.

Le mercredi 28 juin 2017 de 16 h à 18 h, joignez-vous les Archives publiques de l’Ontario pour l’inauguration de notre nouvelle exposition intitulée « Regard sur la famille : Les premiers portraits photographiques aux Archives publiques de l’Ontario ».

 

L’honorable Tracy MacCharles, ministre des Services gouvernementaux et des Services aux consommateurs et ministre responsable de l’accessibilité, sera présente pour ouvrir l’exposition au public.

 

À 16 h 30 auront lieu des allocutions aux St. Lawrence Lounge suivies de rafraîchissements légers et d’une visite de l’exposition à la Galerie John B. Aird.

 

L’exposition compte 15 photos originales et 45 reproductions datant de la fin du XIXe siècle. Elles illustrent une variété de familles ontariennes de différents milieux sociaux.

 

« Regard sur la famille » est une exposition photographique gratuite qui se tient à la Galerie John B. Aird, au 900, rue Bay à Toronto, du 27 juin au 21 juillet 2017. Elle fait partie de la programmation Ontario150 d’Archives Ontario.
