About this event

Gardening. Health and Wellness. Arts. Hiking. Family Activities. Nature Lovers. AND MORE!

Let your mind grow at the Gardens! We offer over 200 courses and workshops for families, kids and adults in the areas of gardening, nature, botanical arts and wellness.

Learn more about courses and programs at the gardens at rbg.ca/publicprograms.

Sunday, December 11; 2 to 4 p.m. at the Nature Centre.

Feel that cool breeze? Winter is coming! Spend an afternoon hiking the trails and learning some physical adaptations animals use to prepare for winter. Through games and activities, learn what it takes for animals to survive – find food and shelter as well as protection from predators. Due to the physical nature of this program, ages 8+ are recommended.

Maximum participants: 25

Resuming Programming Safely

As we welcome our community and visitors back to experience the beauty of Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG), we are making every effort to help ensure your visit is enjoyable, entertaining and, above all, safe.

Effective May 5, visitors are no longer required to wear masks at Royal Botanical Gardens. Employees and volunteers will continue to wear masks.

Please note, masks are strongly encouraged for all programs that involve children over the age of 2 years, youth, or vulnerable populations for the duration of the program, both indoors, and outdoors when you cannot physically distance. Masks are required for all RBG staff and volunteers.

All visitors are required to self-screen prior to arriving at RBG and are not permitted to visit if they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

For everyone’s safety, we ask that all visitors are attentive to directional and physical distancing signage while making their way through the Gardens, wash your hands frequently, and stay home if you are ill.

Please visit https://www.rbg.ca/covid-19-policies-and-procedures for up-to-date information.
