Event description

Description

The FASD Collaboration Roundtable is pleased to offer the 10th Annual Fall Conference! Each year we focus on a different topic relevant to FASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, such as sensory integration, attachment, depression or anxiety. Committee members each bring their expertise, experience and understanding of various issues and successes. Themes that emerge in our work form the focus for the conference, bringing families and community members the knowledge they need to best support individuals living with FASD.

This year we have chosen the topic 10 Years of Breaking Barriers: A Retrospective & Celebration as our focus. FASD is often invisible. Recognizing FASD, receiving a diagnosis and understanding the potential secondary conditions which may accompany the condition is complex. Individuals with prenatal alcohol exposure each have a unique history and situation, and FASD can present very differently depending on the individual, their circumstance and even the day. Successful actions and supports recognize these individual differences and adapt in response.

Join us in to gain insight into these practices, reinforce what you already know, learn new tools, and meet others who are keen to understand the various supports in our communities!
