The FASD Network will be holding its annual FASD Sessions conference. This year the conference will be held virtually on March 8 & 9, 2022.

About this event

The FASD Network is excite to announce the sixth annual “FASD Sessions.”

This two day conference will be held virtually on the Pheedloop platform.

This year’s event will focus on adapting supports and services to meet the needs of individuals and families with FASD.

Topics will include:

• Creating low-barriers to access services

• Providing client-led services

• Offering trauma-informed support

• Using harm-reduction approaches

• Providing services that are FASD-Informed

Presenters include:

Keynote address by Dr. Michelle Stewart

Dr. Michelle Stewart is an Associate Professor in Justice Studies and Director of the Community Research Unit at the University of Regina. As an applied legal anthropologist, Michelle’s work involves community-engaged projects focused on cognitive disabilities, mental health and racialized inequalities with attention to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

Robyn Pitawanakwat

As the Integrated Justice Program Coordinator at the FASD Network, Robyn has always had a passion for advocacy and justice and continues to draw on that passion in the work of the program. Robyn is an Anishnaabe person, and a member of the Whitefish River First Nation.

Erin Beckwell

Erin is a social worker who has spent her career working in the areas of health, education, and community development.

Prairie Harm Reduction

The mission of Prairie Harm Reduction is to improve the quality of life for all members of our community through gold standards in harm reduction; emphasizing local action with national impact.

Shana Mohr

Shana Mohr is the Training Manager for the FASD Network of Saskatchewan and member of the CanFASD Family Advisory Committee. She has trained hundreds of professionals, caregivers, and individuals about the complexities of FASD. Shana is also the mom to an amazing daughter who lives with FASD and motivates her unlimited passion for the cause.
