Fashion Calgary Portrait Campaign is featuring Calgary’s TOP 30 Ambassadors who are shaping the cultural scene of our city, our province and our country
The second annual Fashion Calgary Portrait Campaign Gala will prove to showcase Calgary’s Top 30 Cultural Ambassadors for 2013 with a high-profile evening of gourmet dining and artistic energy at Eighth Avenue Place on Thursday, October 24th, 2013.
This year’s gala will continue to celebrate and publicize Calgary’s unique arts and fashion scene with 30 new Culture Ambassadors for 2013 who include the personalized portraits and majority attendance of: Jacque Fresco (The Venus Project), Roxanne Meadows (The Venus Project), Michael Noble (NOtaBLE Restaurant), Paul Van Ginkel (Fine Art Painter), Wendy Be̒langer (Hair Stylist at Influence Salon), Jean Grand-Maître (Director at Alberta Ballet), Ron Burke (Blues Guitarist), Michael Batke (Chef), Don and Joanne (Co-hosts of XL 103 FM), Ann Lewis Luppino (President&CEO of Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra), Tara Nelson (CTV Calgary News Anchor), Darrel Janz (CTV Co-Anchor/Co-Producer of CTV Weekend News), Krzysztof Jablonski (World-Class Pianist), Sara Staples (Mezzo-Soprano Artist), Heather Klimchuk (Minister of Culture for Alberta), Kelly Hrudey (CBC Hockey Night in Canada Analyst), Jeff de Boer (Professional Artist), Sandra Jansen (Associate Minister of Family and Community Safety), Mandy Stobo (Artist), Gisele Danis (VP Marketing&Communications at Tourism Calgary), Royce Chwin ( Chief Marketing Officer at Travel Alberta), Jordan Singer (President at HSFG), Madison Boxa (R&B/Pop Singer), James McIntyre (Designer), Jan Hudec (World Cup Alpine Ski Racer), Holly Allen (Fashion Designer), Leonard Bastien (Edler&Former Chief of Piikani Nation).
A portion of the funds raised through sponsorship and ticket sales of 2013’s Fashion Calgary Portrait Campaign gala will be donated to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra’s Musical Camps for Kids to continue to provide educational music programming to families and children in need at selected venues around Calgary ensuring that expression and creativity continue to be fostered in our city.
Approximately 500 people will be in attendance to celebrate Calgary’s rich fashion, arts and musical culture along with the 25 Alumni Ambassadors of Fashion Calgary’s 2012 Portrait Campaign and 2013’s Top 30 Cultural Ambassadors. This year Fashion Calgary brings together well-known names with up-and-coming artists at this exclusive event to continue to promote and recognize our city’s fascinating culture with performances by diverse and remarkable musical artists.
