Event description
One of four afternoon workshops running as part of Fugitive Spaces, a one day symposium centering feminist/queer/anti-oppressive teaching.

About this Event

This workshop proposes to think through the possibilities and challenges of feminist teaching in the context of #MeToo and the unprecedented pressure on universities to respond to sexual violence on campus. We are interested in exploring how feminist teaching might intervene to disrupt normative neoliberal discourses on campus sexual violence, how we can support our students, and the labour implications, emotional and otherwise. We envision structuring this workshop as a conversation; we will start by briefly sharing our thoughts on these questions and then facilitate a broader conversation with workshop participants.

This workshop will be facilitated by Emily Colpitts and Zoë Gross.
