Come get your 'kraut on!

Fermenting foods is a beautiful tradition, and a great way to preserve in-season produce, increase its nutritional value, and support your health.

In this workshop, learn how to lacto-ferment vegetables (and don't be scared by the word "lacto" - there's no dairy involved; this class it completely vegan) and once you master the basics (pickles), we will build on the concept and make more intricate and unique dishes using the same principles.

Learn about the benefits of fermented food and let holistic-as-heck nutritionist Candace Bell demystify the different processes and bacterial cultures (and why you should love them!). Improve your digestion, boost your immunity, excite your taste buds, and get out of your comfort zone! You’ll have fun, you’ll giggle, and you’ll walk away with the confidence to get fermenting in your own kitchen.

You will learn how to make (and will sample):

  • pickled vegetables
  • ginger sauerkraut
  • simple kimchi
