Description

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of fermentation - primarily through making traditional sauerkraut and kombucha, as well as all the health benefits that come with consuming fermented products. At the end of the class, you will get to take home with you a SCOBY (I will explain what this is!) to make your own kombucha, as well as the sauerkraut we made in class to continue fermenting at home and eventually consume.

All necessary supplies will be provided, as well as instruction/fact sheets to take with you, and samples! I also suggest you bring a notepad and pen if you want to jot down some interesting facts! Limited space available, get your tickets fast!

This will take place on the ROOFTOP of the building at 838 Fort Street, and someone will be there to let you up upon arrival.

P.S. You will be making your own sauerkraut, which can get a little messy, so make sure you wear appropriate clothing :)
