The fifth annual Festival of India will take place on August 5th, 6th and 7th, 2016 in the heart of Canada’s National Capital and indeed right in front of The Ottawa City Hall in Marion Dewar Plaza.
This premier three-day cultural event is an exciting, fun filled and family oriented festival that has something for people of all ages and backgrounds. It addresses the body and mind – from healthy food and yoga (body) to learning opportunities, presentations, an essay writing contest and a panel discussion (the mind).
The festival aims to educate and entertain the people of Ottawa and all tourists visiting the city by showcasing the heritage and culture of India.
The delicious food that is served at the festival is prepared on the premises and offers a wide sampling of the culinary delights of the sub- continent.
The entertainment program consists of world class performers covering several genres of music and dance in addition to a variety of colourful workshops.
