Session Title: Museums and the Digital Toolbox

Description: This workshop will provide participants with an overview of digital interpretation in museum settings. Case studies will be a mix of inexpensive (such as Twitter/Periscope, FB and Youtube) and expensive platforms (such as apps, augmented reality, virtual reality). Participants will then consider an interpretive/programming ‘problem’ through a mix of high and low-cost solutions. Students will leave with an understanding of the range of digital tools open to museum educators.
