Event description

Description

A weekend retreat based in authenic leadership, Process Work, System Constellations and conscious anatomy, for systems change agents who want to deepen, amplify and up-level their work.

  • Friday November 15, 6:30-9:00pm
  • Saturday November 16, 9:30am -5:30 pm
  • Sunday November 17, 10:00am -4:30 pm

In this time of massive change, social entrepreneurs and cultural creatives are being called to move mountains. It can be exhilarating work, and to sustain it we need to step back once in a while to reflect, renew, reconnect with our soul's calling, bring in new tools and expand our relationships.

Join us to:

  • Embody your Authentic Leadership - your soul's calling and how we bring it into social change work: Mindfulness, Archetype and Emergent Design
  • Engage your somatic intelligences: intuition, conscious anatomy, and your body's knowing and expressing
  • De-cloak colonizing structures, and build equity and inclusion
  • Attune with the Field including Process Work, Systemic Constellations and Conscious Co-Creation – discerning emergence
  • Access the power of ritual for non-linear change
  • Grow the Collective: seed relationships to cultivate creative community in BC.

This is for you if you:

  • Play a leadership role, regardless of your place in the system
  • Engage as a change agent, convener, mobilizer, instigator or disruptor
  • Know inner shifts support outer impact
  • Long for breakthroughs in your work
  • Sense that the ways forward are collaborative and collective

Many of us know that linear and developmental approaches are not sufficient for the scale of challenges we face. We need non-linear and transformational approaches that are nimble, joyous and generative to affect deep systems change.

What can we accomplish when we attend to the intelligence of Life and to subtle shifts in the field? How might we work with the new cultural paradigms waiting to emerge? How do we shed “lone wolf” habits and grow our collective strength?

The dimensions of intention, perception, intuition and consciousness move directly through our identities and beliefs of what is possible. This series will clarify and deepen your capacities and our collective genius to clear obstacles, attune to deeper purpose, and grow what is becoming.

More Specifically:

As a few examples, we will

  • explore how you hold your power
  • focus on conscious anatomy and engagement with our bodies’ ways of knowing and communicating
  • map your leadership and change maker narratives, tapping into collective consciousness and your deeper nonlinear nature.

These and other practices you will learn cultivate deeper focus, discernment, choice and relationship. These concrete skills will enable you to:

  • Identify hidden beliefs, needs and motivations in yourself and your collaborative system to enable better decisions and actions.
  • Work with paradox and interdependency as the hubs of generative relationship.
  • Work with collective diversity to build systems for more inclusive, creative and effective enterprises.
  • Identify and heal barriers to leadership, collaboration and vision fulfillment.
  • Work with narrative and archetypes that inform our potential to grow and change system structures and relationships
  • Attune to shifts and emergence in the field to transform the development of collective structures
  • Practice integrated rituals that ground our readiness for action.

You’ll leave with:

  • Potent tools and practices for transformative change
  • Deeper connections to people of like mind and heart in our community
  • Clear knowing of strategic ways forward in your work
  • Maps connecting your gifts to the evolution of current structures
  • Generative language and frames for navigating obstacles and challenges
  • Better access to your sources of insight, energy and resilience

What to bring:

  • Bring your whole self, including your wisdom, gifts and sense of humour
  • A challenge, focus area, dream or opportunity you want to explore
  • Willingness to explore, be vulnerable, take risks, not know and trust emergence
  • A yoga mat if you have one for our somatic practices
  • Your journal or a notebook
  • Your water bottle!
  • Rain gear for when we're outside, and loose comfortable clothes

You will need to make your own arrangements for accommodations. We are in the off season, so AirBnB has great deals.

Past Participants Say

"Field Shift shone a light on the invisible elements of group work that are often felt but not explored. Kate and Christine bring deep experience and skill in facilitation, and provide a space for everyone to speak to and experience the unexplainable. Their work has encouraged me to expand my senses in service of better dialogue and inclusive outcomes."

Virginia Cullen, Environmental Engineer and Impact Strategy Consultant

"The Field Shift course was a unique and profound experience. The sequence of teaching – moving from the energy of my body, to the group, to the greater world – was brilliant. I have used that concept in my own life since. The techniques introduced balanced the material and energetic well to facilitate new learning and perspective shifts."

Marta Brisco, Director of Finance

"The workshop was a wonderful process. The concepts were new to me, however it opened my head and heart, stretched my brain and gave me new language (words) and practices to manage and understand change.

As a professional in the information technology industry (which is driven by defined processes and methodologies), it has once again made me realize the importance of experiences and reflection when managing changes (workplace, teams, families, personal, etc.) I am not second-guessing what I am doing or where I am going with change as I might have done before the workshop. I gained the confidence to be exactly where I am and intentional about understanding others’ perceptions of change. I am understanding the 'big picture' better and my/our role in the evolution of change. I value intuition more, my own and others’."
