Event description

Description

Fielding Estate Winery is nestled on Niagara's Beamsville Bench. The Fieldings searched the Niagara Region for the perfect location and came across the cozy Beamsville location with the rolling hills and the awe-inspiring view of Lake Ontario.

Their son, Curtis Fielding and his wife Heidi, lead the dynamic team who are passionate about winemaking and Niagara's wine industry. When Curtis started farming, his goal was to grow the best quality wine grapes to supply the family winery with the crops to make a small batch of high quality wines. The Fieldings continued this practice and are committed to sustainable farming. Richie Roberts, winemaker, joined the team in 2007 and has led the winemaking team to success with innovative and enjoyable wines from the Fielding vineyards.

The Fieldings are proud to support the Niagara Wine Industry and participate in programs and events throughout the region; they are members of the Grape Growers of Ontario and work closely with the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute at Brock University and the Niagara College Teaching Winery.

In the first five years of operation, Fielding Estate Winery was named one of Canada's Top 10 Wineries and were awarded this accolade again in 2013. Annually the Grape Grower's of Ontario select a Grape Grower of the Year (aka Grape King) and Curtis Fielding was selected to represent for the 2012/13 season. This accolade is awarded to grape growers who exemplify excellence and sustainability in Ontario's Grape Growing Industry.

An example of their award winning wines is evident from their success at the 2013 National Wine Awards of Canada (formerly Canadian Wine Awards)
