Event description

Description

A wonderful family event to view the Unity Productions Foundation (UPF) film, “The Sultan and the Saint”, which is a remarkable story of the benefits of interfaith dialogue during the tumultuous time of the Crusades. Attendees will watch a screening of “The Sultan and the Saint”, and then have an opportunity to join an engaging dialogue with Daniel Tutt, the producer of the film; Imam Yasin Dwyer, the Muslim Chaplain at Ryerson University; and Friar Aziz Eissa and Friar Conrad Fernandes, members from the Order of Friars Minor. The objectives of this culminating workshop will be to bring the community together in a shared experience, build bridges across racial and religious lines, and ultimately promote the message of dialogue and acceptance in Canadian society. This will be the final Islamic Heritage Month event.

RECEPTION
