Event description
Our financial cycle-breaking clinics help nonprofit organizations and charities break their reliance on cycles that no longer serve them.

About this event

We cordially invite all nonprofits and charities in Calgary to participate in our financial cycle-breaking clinics. We work to promote 2-way conversations and compassionate environments to acknowledge mental health in each of our events. These unique sessions offer the opportunity to check your assumptions, face your fears, and have the support needed so that this typically stressful exercise can be an opportunity for growth and collaborative solutions.

Breaking the cycle is brought up often when discussing past trauma, and the concept exists in the professional as well as personal setting. We have gathered organizational experts across Canada to volunteer their time on a Saturday, 3 times this year, to support organizations as they break their reliance on cycles that no longer serve them. The dates are July 24 and October 23.

From 8:00AM to 5:00PM , non-profit organizations and charities gather virtually to review their strategies, plans, and budgets to ensure success for our future as an ecosystem.

The challenge is to reduce cycles of repetition, of operating within silos, and fear of failure. All it takes is 1% of change to shift your path toward a much higher likelihood of success. We invite leadership to bring their team to our opening keynote, private breakout rooms, and rotating team of experts for the day. The event has a minimal fee for administrative costs. Here is a link to the Schedule for review.

Our keynotes on the Friday evening's networking component are:

- Gilad Cohen, Founder/Executive Director of JAYU. They shifted their charity to a 4-day workweek at the beginning of the pandemic last year, and kept metrics. He’ll be sharing info and answering a few questions.

- Steve Woolrich, Principal of Rethink Urban. They are fortunate to have received awards from the International Downtown Association, the Canadian Institute of Planners, Alberta Justice and the Health Care Public Relations Association for Canada, among others. He'll be speaking to placemaking and community building in the pandemic.

Organizer Perlin Foundation for Wellbeing

Organizer of Financial Cycle-Breaking Clinics

We are a group of working professionals, business owners, parents, and advocates focused on establishing and developing annual events and a fundraising festival that celebrates mental health, mental wellness, and those affected by mental illness.

Our objective is to facilitate mental health education and science, blended with entertainment and woven into a narrative, to provide Calgarians with a deeper understanding of how our brains, bodies, and spirits work together. We are interested in how we receive and process the world via cognition and emotion to generate a sense of wellbeing. We aim to build compassion, empathy, and understanding of the mental health ecosystem through our research and projects.
