Hosted by Trinity Western University in partnership with Marlise Kelsey, this workshop-style seminar will teach students the fundamentals of GIVE, GROW, SAVE & SPEND, while providing parents with the tools they need to teach these important principals to their kids.
In this mixed up world of information overload, more and more adults are confused about money and finance. Schools rarely teach it; families hardly talk about it. By not educating kids on money matters, they can grow up into financially uninformed adults, digging themselves into seemingly inescapable financial holes. The grand-scale lack of education on money matters is a plague in our society. But there is a cure! Simple education on sound financial principles.
Marlise Kelsey and her team have been teaching these fundamentals for over 12 years in Canada. By using her experience in the financial industry and her passion to teach kids of all ages, she will share from a collection of examples of financial failures and successes through her time helping thousands of families in personal and business finance. We are confident that you will laugh out loud, have at least one a-ha moment, and leave with helpful tools to live out, teach and model success in the money world.
This seminar is free to attend and students, parents and families are invited (children age 13 and under should be accompanied by an adult). At least one workbook per family is required and can be reserved with your ticket for purchase at the event for $10 (cash sales only). Students in Grades 10-12 or who have recently graduated high school will receive a complimentary workbook courtesy of TWU Admissions.
