Layial El-Hadi, Chief Financial Officer at Apisen; a startup who constructs security and safety products for law enforcement and emergency responders.
Diana Horqque, Lead Designer at Hedokko, startup developing smart garments for wearable motion capture in ergonomics and sports.
Mohammed Alnakli, former Chief Technology Officer for E-panneur, a startup specializing in food delivery.

About the Speakers
Layial is the Chief Financial Officer at Apisen; a small business based in Montréal that builds security and safety products for law enforcement and emergency responders. As part of her role she oversees the company’s financial strategy and sustainability. She moved to Montréal to pursue her MBA from HEC Montréal a few years ago. Her past experiences have included work in sustainability consulting, impact investment and non-profit management. She is an avid traveller and has had the opportunity to work in various emerging and developed markets including Qatar, Jordan, India, Hong Kong and Canada.
Diana Horqque is a multidisciplinary designer who is passionate about expanding and developing her ideas through concrete designs. With strategic thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for problem solving, she strives to push boundaries while not losing sight of her design's impact on the environment and its stakeholders.
Diana has 6 years of experience in the field of design. She has a DEC in Industrial Design, a BFA in Design and a AEC in Technical Garment Design.
Her designs have received honorable recognition - in 2011 by the “Association de Designers Industriels de Quebec” for her graduation project; in 2013 by District 3’s Jury's Pick award and in 2014 by Surface 3 as a Finalist for design excellence within Concordia.
For the past 3 years, Diana has been working as the Lead Designer at Heddoko - startup developing smart garments for wearable motion capture in ergonomics and sports.
Mohammed Alnakli has been involved in software industrial and artificial intelligence for over three years. He served as Chief Technology Officer for ‘E-panneur’, one of Montreal’s fastest growing startups. His technical expertise is concentrated in computer vision and embedded systems. As a veteran of the world of internet-based startup ventures, he also has broad experience in building lean companies, and handling all technology matters from designing custom e-commerce websites to developing and deploying integration software, as well as modification of open source code to tailor results to specific products and services.
