RADIUS at SFU supports impact entrepreneurship and builds high impact ventures, through RADIUS Ventures, RADIUS Edu, and RADIUS Lab.
RADIUS Ventures builds high impact ventures. They find and amplify top emerging social ventures. In addition to exploring new ways entrepreneurs and ventures can help solve pressing social problems, we run the trampoline accelerator for impact focused entrepreneurs and ventures looking for support to test and refine their business model, to better position themselves for success, and the slingshot accelerator for high-impact, growth stage companies.
RADIUS Edu supports impact entrepreneurship and innovation courses and curriculum at SFU, designing and delivering new learning experiences for students and the broader community, and supporting research and new ideas for fostering a powerful community of emerging changemakers.
RADIUS Lab works on systems, collaborating with community to understand tough problems and generate impactful interventions. Currently, our work focuses on inner city economic innovations, in partnership with Ecotrust Canada.
Special Panel for this event:
If our current economic systems best serves those at the top, how can we ensure prosperity can be more equitably shared - especially with those who face the most barriers to economic participation and prosperity. At our next event we ask, how we can grow a local economy that is more economically inclusive? We'll profile businesses that have been working to hire and serve economically marginalized populations, and explore how RADIUS's model as a business incubator is evolving to work on building an equitable, just and resilient society by accelerating entrepreneurs and ventures from diverse backgrounds.
You'll hear from:
