Description

Students are welcome for the full day or half the day. Please bring a nut-free lunch and 1–2 snacks.

$80.00 full, or $40 half-day (includes all materials), HST to be applied.

The process and concept will be adapted to kids ages. and abilities.

DECEMBER 2nd

Morning: Introducing kids to images by M. C. Escher one of the world's most famous graphic artists. Kids will attempt to make drawings and etchings on theme of ‘Impossible Images’ and ‘Metamorphosis’, as well as high/low and close by/far away.

Afternoon: Making Winter Diorama and/or Snow Globe.

JANUARY 20th

Morning: Famous artist Alberto Giacometti will be introduced through clay sculpting workshop. Attention will be on positive and negative space, proportion, size, balance, and movement.

Afternoon: Kids will be introduced to basic principals of architecture while learning to build stable and balanced structures, as well as mobiles using recycled materials.

FEBRUARY 17 th

Morning: Introducing famous French naive artist Henri Rousseau. Creating fantasy drawings and paintings of animals and people interacting in the natural world.

Afternoon: Collage, Assemblage and Flip Book on animal and nature theme

JUNE 9 th

Morning: Introducing Takashi Murakami, amazing contemporary Japanese artist. Using markers kids will make images in the style of Murakami.

Afternoon: Kids will create 3D images/sculptures based on 2D marker drawings from the morning.
