Carmine Starnino has published six volumes of poetry, including This Way Out, which was nominated for the Governor General’s Award in 2009 and recently translated into French by Éditions Hashtag under the title Par Ici La Sortie. His most recent collection is Dirty Words: Selected Poems 1997-2016 (2020), which was awarded the inaugural Pier Giorgio Di Cicco Poetry Award. His other awards include the Canadian Author's Association Prize for Poetry and the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry (which he has won twice). Among his other books are The New Canon: An Anthology of Canadian Poetry (2005) and Lazy Bastardism: Reviews and Essays on Contemporary Poetry (2012). He lives in Montreal, where he is editor-at-large for The Walrus magazine and associate publisher for Vehicule Press.
Francis Catalano a publié sept livres de poésie dont Qu’une lueur des lieux (L’Hexagone, 2010, Grand prix Quebecor du 26e Festival international de Poésie de Trois-Rivières, finaliste au Prix du Gouverneur général). En traduction ont paru les livres de ses poèmes en anglais, en espagnol et en italien. En prose, il a publié plusieurs œuvres, dont sa plus récente, l’essai-fiction L’origine du futur (Mains libres, 2021), et a traduit la poésie de Valerio Magrelli (Prix John-Glassco 2005), d’Antonio Porta et de Fabio Scotto. Il est membre du comité de rédaction de la revue de création poétique Exit depuis 2005, où il a préparé notamment des anthologies de poésie contemporaine portant sur l’Italie, le Pérou, la Catalogne, la Sicile et le Chili.
