String players from the Vancouver Island Symphony are thrilled to perform this folk music inspired programme. Join the musicians in the robust music of Dvorak’s String Quintet No.2, Op.77 and Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances. Two pieces rich in Bohemian, Slovak, Hungarian and Romanian folk music traditions. Come experience the composers and their travels through amazing lands and time. There will even be a few chances to sing along with the musicians on some familiar Canadian Folk tunes.
