Food Design Workshop
Design Like Chef: Prototyping with Food Materials

In this interactive hands-on workshop participants will explore creative potentials of food supplies by testing its structural, textual and visual properties. The participants will leave with understanding of how to cultivate inspiration and build prototypes using organic materials.

The workshop is open to professionals interested in using design thinking and learning about food design.

Date: July 6, 6-8 pm

Cost: $15. Materials are supplied.




About the instructor:

Iryna Karaush completed her Master degree in Advanced Studies in Architecture at UBC, works as faculty and coordinator at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Wilson School of Design in Product Design. She is passionate about the cross-disciplinary nature of human-centered design that provides immense opportunities to improve the quality of people’s lives. Her portfolio includes spatial design and research, apparel design. Iryna’s research focus is located in food design - the new field that explores the relationship between people and food from wide-ranging design perspective.
