Join LUSH Valley Food Action Society and Chef Gaetane Palardy in this one-day in-person FoodSafe Level 1 Certification Course.
Following the successful completion of the class and a passing grade on the written exam, participants will receive a certificate attesting to their successful completion of the program.
The FoodSafe certificate program is a comprehensive food-safety training program for the food industry. An initiative of the Province of British Columbia, FoodSafe is managed by the BCFoodSafe Secretariat in partnership with the BC Centre for Disease Control, regional health authorities, BC Restaurant and Food Services Association, and WorkSafe BC.

- High school students looking to open doors in the food services industry and land summer jobs
- Community volunteers assisting with food preparation or special events
- Anyone who prepares food for friends and family
- Food Industry workers
- Residential home care and health care assistants
About this class/location:
We are located at 2342 Rosewall Crescent. Please enter the building through the door facing the Crescent, not through the parking lot.
Please bring a lunch and/or snacks. There will be a 30-minute lunch break which may or may not allow time to run out for food/drinks.
The test is available in English, French and 10 other languages. Please advise in advance if you would like to take the test in a language other than English.
What to Bring: Notebook, pen, lunch and water bottle.
