Sun, 30 Apr 2017, 1:00 PM – Mon, 1 May 2017, 11:30 PM MDT
The Foothills Colloquium in Undergraduate History takes place at Mount Royal University in Calgary on April 30 and May 1, 2017. Our opening plenary launches the Graphic History Collective’s latest poster project entitled “Remember, Resist, Redraw” on April 30. The following day Arpad Kovacs, an Assistant Curator in the Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, will deliver his keynote lecture - “The Veracity of Images: Photographs as Historical Sources” – at Fort Calgary.
The registration fee for the Foothills Colloquium is $65.00 for participants. This includes meals for both days during conference events, coffee breaks, and your tickets to both the Graphic History Collective’s “Remember, Resist, Redraw” reception and launch as well as to the Colloquium Banquet (which includes the keynote and dance).
For those of you travelling to Calgary from out of town, do check with the Students’ Association or Students’ Union at your institution as they may have bursaries or travel funds for students who attend undergraduate conferences.
If you want your paper to be considered for the “Best Paper Prize” you must send us a PDF version of your research paper no later than April 1, 2017. All papers must be submitted electronically to the following email address: email@example.com.
