This training provides content based on the philosophy and practices developed by the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in over 70 years of organizing experience. It includes:

• What is community organizing and why use a community organizing approach

• The organizing cycle
.

• Relational meetings.


• Listening sessions .

• Problems vs. Issues.


• Power over vs. Power with.


• Negotiations and actions to obtain concrete and winnable outcomes.

This is a 10 hour virtual training which runs Monday and Thursday's from 7-9pm starting on Monday, November 16 and ending on Monday, November 30, 2020.

This is an online training.
