About the workshop:
Are you ready to take your organization to the next level? First, you’ll need to determine where you want to go. Next you’ll need to assess what you currently have in place that can either help or hinder you, and finally decide how you’ll get there.
Strategic planning is similar to planning for a trip. You need a destination, a map and GPS, and a mode of transportation. This workshop will help you bridge the gap between the vision you have for your organization and the current reality using strategic planning.
A strategy is an overall approach and plan. Strategic planning takes you outside the day-to-day activities of your organisation. It provides you with the big picture of what you are doing and where you are going. Strategic planning gives you clarity about what you actually want to achieve and how to go about achieving it, rather than a plan of action for day-to-day operations.
Strategic planning enables you to answer the following questions:
Who are we?
What capacity do we have/what can we do?
What problems are we addressing?
What difference do we want to make?
Where should we allocate our resources?/what should our priorities be?
In this workshop you will get the tools to create a strategic plan for your own business or organization.
We’ll work through:
- Vision statements
- Mission statements
- SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)
- Gap analysis
- Action plan
