Event description

Description

Active Bystander:

Learn how to become an “Active Bystander” on campus. Bystander intervention training will help you to learn how to be more proactive in uncomfortable situations. For example, it can help you to intervene when you witness situations involving violence, bullying/hazing, or when you see signs of loneliness or emotional distress in those around you.

Bystander training provides a way for you to recognize how you can be a leader in an everyday kind of way. To prepare for this training, please watch this 6 minute TEDtalk video beforehand called "Everyday Leadership" by Drew Dudley.

Please note that dinner will be served at 4:45PM, and the workshop will begin promptly at 5:00PM. Please arrive earlier in order to grab some food first!
