Event description
An event to bring organizations, stakeholders, and community members together to build a discourse on topics in the Fredericton community.

About this event

Brought to you by River Stone Recovery Centre, Greater Fredericton Social Innovation, and the Wilmot United Church (who donated their venue), the Fredericton Housing, Social, and Economic Inclusion Forum will be an event joining organizations, stakeholders, and community members in a conversation and course of action to address homelessness and related risk factors of homelessness. These topics can span from housing availability, to addiction, to abuse, and everywhere in-between. Utilizing open space technology, this forum will allow participants to bring their topics to the conversation, collaborate with others, and generate a course of action to address each topic throughout the day.

What to expect:

After a brief introduction, attendees will be able to add topics to the ongoing agenda. Then, breakout sessions will commence for each 30 minute time slot to address up to 4 topics at a time. Participants can "vote with their feet" to move to the topic of interest and contribute to the conversation. Topics can be added to time slots throughout this process. After a lunchbreak (provided on site), the second part of the event will use the same aforementioned structure, but will be dedicated to shaping courses of action for attendees to take with them back to their organizations. At the end of the event, all conversations and plans of action will be synthesized and made available as an e-document for all attendees.
