WELCOME BACK TO CUAG!

About this Event

CUAG is closed for the holiday, and reopens on January 13th. Our hours are Wednesday through Saturday, from 1 – 5 pm. Parking is free on campus!

Admission is free but all visits must be booked in advance. Before booking, please review all the safety protocols on this page, and review the pre-screening questions noted below.

Book in advance

We invite you to pre-book a free one-hour time slot for your visit. Each visitor must book their individual ticket.

  • 1 – 2 pm
  • 2 – 3 pm
  • 3 – 4 pm
  • 4 – 5 pm

You can also book by calling our reception desk at (613) 520-2120. You’re welcome to book two time slots if you’d like to stay longer.

Pre-screening before you come to Carleton University

On the day of your planned visit to Carleton, please take a moment to review these pre-screening questions. When you arrive at CUAG, we will review the questions with you again.

1. Do you have any new or worsening COVID-like symptoms or signs, as described here: a) fever or chills; b) difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; c) sore throat or trouble swallowing; d) runny / stuffy nose, or nasal congestion; d) decreased or loss of smell or taste; e) nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain; f) not feeling well, extreme tiredness, sore muscles.

2. Have you had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19?

3. Have you travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days?

If you have symptoms potentially linked to COVID-19 or have come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 you should contact Telehealth Ontario and follow their instructions. If you have been on the Carleton campus in the 14 days prior to the onset of symptoms potentially linked to COVID-19, have had a positive COVID-19 test result, or have been advised that you are to self-isolate, you are required to advise Carleton University.

Accessing CUAG

  • Carleton’s tunnel system is closed to the public.
  • Please enter / exit the gallery through the main outdoor entrance to the St. Patrick’s Building.
  • If you are unable to use the stairs, please pre-book a visit here and then call us at (613) 520-2120. We’ll make sure you can access the gallery safely.

Keeping you safe

  • We’ve created a second reception desk on the gallery’s mezzanine level; this is where you’ll be greeted and where contactless registration takes place.
  • Our reception desks are fronted in Plexiglas.
  • There is plenty of hand sanitizer on site.
  • We’re cleaning high-touch surfaces throughout the day.
  • We’ve created a one-way traffic flow in the gallery, to maintain social distancing.
  • We’ve set maximum capacity per hour at 15, including staff.

When you’re at CUAG, please

  • Wear a mask at all times. We’re happy to provide you with a free disposable mask.
  • Sanitize your hands when you come in.
  • Keep your coat and bag with you, as the cloakroom is closed.
  • Maintain a two-metre distance from others and follow the directional arrows.
  • If you are unable to use the stairs, please use the elevator in the building lobby to navigate between floors. The elevator is open to one person at a time.

Any public space where people come together, like Carleton University Art Gallery, produces a risk of exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Help keep each other healthy by following health and safety guidelines, maintaining social distancing and wearing a mask or face covering during your visit. By being in public spaces end entering the Carleton University Art Gallery you voluntarily assume these risks.
