Free Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement workshop
Sat, 13 May 2017, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
A free Awareness Through Movement workshop to introduce the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Learning.
- You like running, walking, yoga, taiji, sports,
- you like playing with your kids or grandkids.
- You like gardening
- You have a very physical job or a very sedentary job.
- You want to improve the quality of your movement.
- You want to reduce pain that makes you avoid doing the things you used to enjoy.
- You feel like you are in a bit of a rut.
This workshop will introduce you to a way of learning to improve yourself through exploring how you use your body. It is not a magic pill, but a way of learning. It requires patience and focus. It is physically easy and often mentally challenging. It is suitable for almost everyone from young athletes to old grandparents.
Everything is done within the range of what is easy. The lessons develop so that you gradually become more and more aware of how you are moving and what is getting in the way of what you want to do. When you learn to use yourself with the best distribution of effort through your whole body movements become easy.
So if the things you are trying now aren't working -- instead of doing them harder -- try something different. Register now for the Awareness Through Movement workshop.
